Yo train - youth workers in training

Is a project which is for people who are employed to work with young people, but feel that you need an education that meet the new needs that you face today, for example in youth clubs. It also targets those who in future will hire people to work with young people and where you want to make sure that your employees have a good foundation in the work with young people in different ways.

The Project started in August 2008 and ending June 2010

The Aim

  1. To develop a consistent training programme for the training of youth workers, based on the demands of the employers and the demands from a society in change.
    - consistent curricula, learning objectives, pedagogy, didactics etc
    - clarification of the roles of the training providers
  2. To implement a method for accreditation of non-formal learning and competencies with clear links to an European level

The most important outcome of the project is to create a consistent training programme for youth workers. The result shall be possible to use on a broad base and for education on different levels in all the participating countries. We also think this will be the start of cooperation between the partners in the future where exchanging pedagogical models, working methods etc can be established.
